Dr. Muellershausen is a managing director at the Novartis Venture Fund (NVF) in Basel, Switzerland. Prior to joining NVF, he worked as a scientific manager for the Research and Development Committee of the Novartis Board of Directors. Before that, he held various drug discovery roles in Novartis R&D including positions as laboratory head in target discovery and as translational medicine expert, autoimmunity, in early clinical research. Dr. Muellershausen received his Master of Science degree in biochemistry from Free University Berlin, his PhD with great distinction in biochemistry from Ruhr University Bochum, and his postdoctoral training at Novartis in Switzerland.
